Lumbre hand-pours soy candles in Madrid. Instagram and ads sent plenty of visitors, but carts were left half-full and almost nobody came back. This is what changed in four months.
“I get visits but I don't sell. People leave the cart and nobody comes back.”
Lumbre was spending on Meta and marketplaces with an acquisition cost that climbed every month. The site had visitors, but with no retargeting, no email flows and no steady content, every order was the last one.

Marta started out at weekend markets. Today 71% of orders come through her own site, with a customer base that gets an email when it is due, not when there is a rush.
Three articles a month answering real product searches, bringing traffic that depends on no ad at all.

“The cart email landed right when I'd forgotten. I bought three.”
Elena · Fig & Amber
“The first candle brand whose Instagram I actually follow.”
Claudia · Autumn collection
“I've been gifting Lumbre for a year and nobody has had the same scent twice.”
Jorge · Gift pack
Almost always three gaps: visitors land on a page that does not repeat the ad's message, nobody follows up with people who viewed a product and left, and there is no email to recover the cart. For Lumbre we measured where visits dropped, built a landing per campaign and switched on retargeting and email flows.
With a three-email sequence (after one hour, 24 hours and 3 days) plus dynamic ads for the exact product left behind. Lumbre recovers one in four carts this way, without aggressive discounts.
