In CustomIQ, proposing a WhatsApp template from the IQ chat is not available yet. Today you do it from Templates. When it is available, you will say "Propose a WhatsApp template to remind the appointment", read the text, change it if you want, and it only goes to Meta for approval when you answer "yes". It is free.
What is "Propose a WhatsApp template" in CustomIQ?
It is an IQ chat action that drafts a WhatsApp message template for your brand and, once you approve it, sends it to Meta for review. It is not available in the chat yet; today you do it from Templates.
How will it work in the chat?
In the IQ chat you will write "Propose a WhatsApp template to remind the appointment.". The chat shows the name, the text with its placeholders and how it reads with an example. You can change the text or ask for another version, and it only goes to Meta when you answer "yes".
And then?
Meta takes up to 24 hours to approve it. Ask "How is my WhatsApp template?" to see the templates on this brand's WhatsApp: whether they are approved, in review or rejected (and why). You need WhatsApp connected for this brand (or one shared with it); without it, the chat says so both when you ask how it's going and when you propose one. It is free.
Steps
- Today, from Templates. Write the template in Templates and send it to Meta for approval.
- When it is available in the chat. You will be able to write "Propose a WhatsApp template to remind the appointment.".
- Review the text. The chat shows the text and how it will read; you can say "change the text to…" or "draft it again".
- Send it to Meta. It only goes to Meta when you answer "yes". Approval takes up to 24 hours.
- Ask how it is going. Write "How is my WhatsApp template?" to see whether it is approved, in review or rejected.
