Smart Edit: edit your videos with AI or turn them into ads

In CustomIQ you edit a video with AI from Generated videos with the Edit with AI button: choose what to do (remove silences, brand captions, music, voice-over…) or Dynamic ad for an ad, the format and your instructions. You see the cost before starting, review the proposal and the edited video lands in your gallery.

What is Smart Edit in CustomIQ?
It is AI editing of a video you have already recorded or generated. The AI watches and listens to the video and edits it in your brand's style, like a professional editor would: it removes silences and fillers, adds captions, zooms, music, voice-over, b-roll or colour correction. With Dynamic ad it turns it into a direct-response ad.
What do I do from the dashboard?
In Video, open Generated videos and press Edit with AI on the video. Choose what you want and, if the framing changes, the format (9:16, 4:5 or 1:1). Add instructions if you like, check the quote and press Analyse and propose an edit. When the proposal is ready, ask for changes, remove graphics or ad elements and press Apply edit.
Can I do it from the chat?
Yes. In the IQ chat attach the video with the paperclip and write "Edit this video like a pro", or choose Edit a video with AI or Edit a video as an ad in Actions. The chat shows a card with the quote; nothing is charged until you confirm.
How much does it cost?
The quote in credits appears before you start and depends on the length and what you choose. The maximum is reserved and, when it finishes, only what was really used is charged; applying the edit can cost extra for music, audio clean-up or effects, which you also see first.
Steps
- Open the video. In Video, Generated videos, press Edit with AI (the sparkles icon) on the video you want.
- Choose the edit. Keep Automatic professional edit or choose remove silences, brand captions, music, voice-over, b-roll or colour.
- Or turn it into an ad. Choose Dynamic ad for fast cuts, giant words and impact screens, and pick the format.
- Check the cost and start. Check the quote in credits and press Analyse and propose an edit.
- Review and apply. Ask for changes in your own words, remove graphics you don't want and press Apply edit.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my original video changed?
- No. The edited video is saved as a new one in your gallery and the original is never touched.
- Can I edit a video I didn't create in CustomIQ?
- Yes. Upload it in Generated videos with Upload Video, or attach it in the IQ chat, and edit it the same way.
- Does the AI remember how I like to edit?
- If you give instructions, it asks whether to always remember them for the brand; the ones you accept are saved in Learnings.
