How to use WhatsApp Business in CustomIQ, templates and inbox

In CustomIQ WhatsApp templates are managed on the WhatsApp templates page of the dashboard: there you see the message templates approved for your WhatsApp Business number and the ones your automations use. You need the WhatsApp Cloud API connection set up in Connections; the IQ chat does not create templates.

In this tutorial you'll see WhatsApp Business in CustomIQ. The connected number, message templates, and answering customers from the Inbox. We use a demo hair salon.

Under Inbox settings, Channels, you see the WhatsApp Business number connected to CustomIQ, with its details. Test Connection checks it with Meta and shows the display number, the verified name and the quality rating.

Next, WhatsApp templates. You see every template of your account, with the status Meta gave it. Create a new template. Give it a name, and write the message. CustomIQ checks Meta's rules and previews what the customer will receive. Submit it for review. CustomIQ sends it to Meta for you. It's now in review at Meta. Once approved, you can use it to start conversations, for example in your follow-up sequences.

Now, messages. Here a customer writes to the salon on WhatsApp. Their other chats are blurred for privacy. In CustomIQ, the message is already in the Inbox, in the customer's conversation. Reply from CustomIQ, and it's sent from your WhatsApp number. Seconds later, the customer gets the reply on WhatsApp. That's WhatsApp in CustomIQ. Your number, your templates and your customer conversations, all in one place.
