IQ chat commands (back, change, start over, cancel)

Updated 2026-10-11

Inside any guided process of the CustomIQ IQ chat you can type "back" to go back one step, "change the product" (or whichever field) to correct an earlier answer, "start over" to restart, "cancel" to leave and "retry" if something failed. The chips under each message send those same phrases with one tap.

Which commands does the IQ chat understand inside a process?

When the IQ chat guides you step by step (create content, add a creative, optimize, retargeting), it understands five orders at any moment: "back", "change <field>", "start over", "cancel" and "retry". It also accepts /atras, /reiniciar and /cancelar.

How do I correct an answer in the chat?

Type "back" to repeat the previous question, or name directly what you want to change: "change the product", "change the campaign", "I got the format wrong". The chat returns to that step keeping the rest of your answers. If a step can no longer be changed (for example because it was already charged or the campaign already launched), it tells you why.

What happens if I ask something mid-process?

The chat answers your question and asks the step you were on again; you lose nothing. If the chat does not understand an answer, it gives you a hint, then the expected format and finally the options as a menu.

What do I do from the dashboard?

Commands belong to the chat only. The processes the chat completes are visible in the dashboard (campaigns, content, calendar) and you follow them from there.

What does it cost?

Using commands costs nothing. Cancelling a process before confirming does not either; what was already generated and charged is not refunded.

Steps

  1. Go back one step. Type "back" or press the Back chip to repeat the previous question.
  2. Change an earlier answer. Type "change" followed by the field, for example "change the campaign" or "I got the product wrong".
  3. Restart or cancel. Type "start over" to restart the process or "cancel" to leave it.
  4. Retry if it failed. If a step errored, type "retry" or press the Retry chip.

Frequently asked questions

What are the chips under the messages?
Buttons with the actions available at that moment (back, retry, help, start over, cancel, confirm); pressing them sends the phrase for you.
Can I ask something without losing my place?
Yes. If you ask a question in the middle of a process, the chat answers it and asks the step you were on again.
Are there slash commands?
Yes, /atras, /reiniciar and /cancelar send the canonical phrases.
