What is "Write an article" in CustomIQ?

It is an IQ chat action that writes a new blog article on the topic you give it, for one of your brand's audiences (segments), and leaves it as an unpublished draft. Articles also come with the monthly plan and can be written from Blogs.

How do I do it in the chat?

Type "Write a blog post about local SEO for small businesses." in the IQ chat. The chat opens the guided process "Write an article" with four steps: Topic, Audience, Images and Confirm. Nothing is written or charged until you confirm.

If you name one of your segments ("… for Ecommerce y DTC"), it uses it, says so ("For “Ecommerce y DTC”.") and doesn't take it as part of the topic. Otherwise it asks "Who is it for?" and lists all your segments, so you reply with the number or the name. Then it asks "How many images should it have? From 0 to 5." and tells you the price of each image.

When is it charged and what happens next?

The summary repeats that it stays an unpublished draft and shows the topic, the audience, the images and the cost: the article plus each image, for example 300 credits for an article with 2 images. It is charged when you answer "yes", only once; if it can't start writing it, the charge is refunded right away. The article takes a few minutes and shows in its chat card as a draft; then you can say "Publish the article you just wrote." and nothing is published until you answer "yes" again.

Steps

  1. Give the topic. Type "Write a blog post about local SEO for small businesses." in the IQ chat.
  2. Choose the audience. If you name a segment, it uses it; otherwise it asks "Who is it for?" and you reply with the number or the name.
  3. Choose the images. It asks "How many images should it have? From 0 to 5." and tells you what each image costs.
  4. Confirm the price. The summary shows the topic, audience, images and exact cost; it is charged only when you answer "yes".
  5. Review the draft. The article shows in its chat card within a few minutes, as an unpublished draft.

What if it can't be written?
If it can't start writing it, the charge is refunded right away and the chat tells you.
Can I ask for several articles at once?
