Send or schedule an email from the IQ chat

In CustomIQ, sending or scheduling an email from the IQ chat is not available yet. Today you do it from Emails. When it is available, you will say "Send the email you just prepared on Monday at 9", see how many contacts it goes to and from which address, and nothing is sent until you answer "yes".
What is "Send an email" in CustomIQ?
It is an IQ chat action that sends or schedules an email of a prepared campaign to its segment, or sends a test to your own inbox. It is not available in the chat yet; today you do it from Emails.
How will it work in the chat?
In the IQ chat you will write "Send the email you just prepared on Monday at 9.". If the campaign has several emails, the chat says which campaign it is and asks which one (or "all", each on its date, when no date has passed) and, if you don't say when, it asks. Before sending it tells you how many contacts and from which address, and nothing goes out until you answer "yes". "Send me a test of the email." sends it only to you.
What does it check before sending?
Before asking you anything: that your brand has email connected (SendGrid) in Settings → Connections → Email with a verified sender, that the segment has contacts with an email and, if you send outside Spain, that your brand has a postal address. Contacts who unsubscribed are left out and the same email is never sent twice to the same segment. It is free.
Steps
- Today, from Emails. Open the campaign in Emails, choose the sender and the date, and schedule it.
- When it is available in the chat. You will be able to write "Send the email you just prepared on Monday at 9." or "Send me a test of the email.".
- Choose the email and date. The chat names the campaign and asks which email, or "all" when no date has passed. If you already said when, it doesn't ask again.
- Check and confirm. The chat tells you how many contacts, from which address and when; nothing goes out until you answer "yes".
Frequently asked questions
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing. Sending or scheduling an email is free.
- Does it reach people who unsubscribed?
- No. Contacts who unsubscribed are left out of every send.
- Can the same email arrive twice?
- No. If that email was already sent or is scheduled for that segment, the chat doesn't send it again.
- What do I need to send?
- Email connected (SendGrid) with a verified sender, contacts with an email in the segment and, if you send outside Spain, your brand's postal address. The chat checks this before asking you anything.
