Schedule or publish a post from the IQ chat

In CustomIQ you can ask the IQ chat to schedule a post you already have, or publish it now, for example "Schedule my latest video on Instagram on Thursday at 6pm". The chat shows the post, the platform, the time and the copy, and nothing goes out until you answer "yes". Scheduling is free.

What is "Schedule a post" in CustomIQ?
It is an IQ chat action that schedules a post you already have (an image, a carousel, a video or a pending text) on your brand's connected accounts at the time you say, or publishes it now. You can also do it by hand from Posts and Calendar.
How do I ask in the chat?
In the IQ chat write "Schedule my latest video on Instagram and TikTok on Thursday at 6pm." or "Publish the carousel on Facebook now.". If you don't say which post, which platforms or when, the chat asks. Before publishing it shows the copy each platform gets (you can change it with "change the text to…"), and nothing goes out until you answer "yes".
What doesn't it do?
It doesn't post the same thing twice on the same platform, doesn't post videos on LinkedIn or Google Business yet (if you ask, it offers your other connected networks), doesn't post before the page it links to is live, and doesn't post a piece with a person who hasn't approved it yet. Scheduling or publishing is free.
Steps
- Ask in the chat. Write "Schedule my latest video on Instagram and TikTok on Thursday at 6pm." or "Publish the carousel on Facebook now.".
- Choose the post, platforms and time. If you don't say it, the chat asks which post, which connected platforms and when; "now" publishes it within a minute.
- Check the copy and confirm. The chat shows the copy for each platform; you can say "change the text to…". Nothing goes out until you answer "yes".
- See it in the Calendar. The post shows up in the Calendar; if publishing fails, you will see it there.
Frequently asked questions
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing. Scheduling or publishing is free; what is charged is generating the piece.
- Which posts can I schedule?
- Your brand's images, carousels and videos that are already generated and not scheduled yet, and pending LinkedIn or Google Business texts.
- On which platforms?
- Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Business, if they are connected. Videos can't be posted on LinkedIn or Google Business from the chat yet.
- Can the same post go out twice?
- No. If the post is already scheduled or published on that platform, the chat doesn't schedule it there again.
- Why does it go out private on TikTok?
- While the TikTok app isn't audited, TikTok only allows private posts (only you can see them). The chat tells you first.
