Review, approve and deploy a LinkedIn Ads campaign
Updated 2026-10-12
In CustomIQ you deploy a LinkedIn Ads campaign from the Campaigns page: open the campaign, review the generated images and copy, approve the budget and click deploy; CustomIQ publishes it to your Campaign Manager account paused. It spends nothing until you activate it, in Campaign Manager or by asking the IQ chat.

What is deploying a LinkedIn Ads campaign?
It is publishing it to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager account with the approved ads and budget. Before that it exists only in CustomIQ.
What do I do from the dashboard?
In Campaigns the detail has five steps: Strategy, Budget, Creatives, Review and Deploy. Approve the budget, approve or reject every ad and the lead form under Creatives and, with the images, video and PDF generated, check them under Review. The Deploy step checks the connected ad account and page and shows the button with the amount to confirm. The campaign is created paused on LinkedIn and the table shows it as "Paused on the platform"; you activate it from the live panel ("Activate campaign") or in Campaign Manager.
Can I do it in the chat?
The chat tells you when the campaign is ready and takes you to it; approval and deployment happen on the Campaigns page. Once deployed, you can activate or pause it from the chat: write "Resume my LinkedIn campaign.".
What do I need first?
A valid LinkedIn Ads connection in Connections with a payment method set on LinkedIn.
Where is it in the dashboard?
Steps
- Open the campaign. In Campaigns, click the LinkedIn campaign pending review.
- Review the ads. Check image, copy and call to action.
- Approve the budget. Confirm the proposed budget.
- Deploy. Click deploy; the campaign is created on LinkedIn paused. Activate it whenever you want.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I regenerate an ad before deploying?
- Yes, from the campaign; it consumes credits and the amount is shown first.
- Who charges the ad spend?
- LinkedIn, through your ad account's payment method.
- Why does my campaign show as paused after deploying?
- LinkedIn creates it paused so you decide when it starts spending. Activate it in Campaign Manager or write "Resume my LinkedIn campaign." in the IQ chat.
- What if the deployment fails?
- The campaign shows as failed and the reason appears in the campaign, for example that the brand has no LinkedIn Ads connection or that the ad account is not authorised. If it could not be deployed, the commission is not charged twice when you retry.
- Where do I see results afterwards?
- In the campaign itself inside Campaigns and in Analytics.
- How do I get to the step that is waiting?
- Click the campaign's status label in Campaigns: it opens the detail on that step. Locked steps show the reason on hover.
