The paid campaign detail in Campaigns

Updated 2026-10-11

In CustomIQ every paid campaign in Campaigns opens a detail with steps: Strategy, Budget (Keywords on Google), Creatives, Review or Audience and Launch, plus the live panel once deployed. The status label takes you to the step that is waiting, the banner says what to do next and every locked step explains why. Nothing is charged without your confirmation.

What is the paid campaign detail?

It is the detail that opens when you click a Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads or LinkedIn Ads campaign in Campaigns. Since 6 October 2026 they all share the same detail: a header with the status, a banner that explains what to do next, a row of steps and the live panel once the campaign is deployed.

The status label in the table and the one in the detail say the same thing, and the table's label is a link: it takes you to the step where the campaign is waiting for you.

Which steps does it have in the dashboard?

ChannelSteps
Google AdsStrategy · Keywords · Budget · Creatives · Launch
Meta AdsStrategy · Budget · Creatives · Audience · Launch
TikTok AdsStrategy · Budget · Creatives · Review · Launch
LinkedIn AdsStrategy · Budget · Creatives · Review · Deploy
  • Strategy: objective, funnel, bidding, targeting and the research confidence. On Meta you can re-run the research.
  • Keywords (Google only): approve or discard keyword groups; the cost forecast is recalculated.
  • Budget: the recommended daily amount and the channel's minimum. Nothing is generated until you approve it.
  • Creatives: approve or reject every ad, script or post; then only the approved ones are generated, with the cost shown.
  • Review / Audience: the generated assets (images, videos, landing page, form) and who the campaign targets.
  • Launch / Deploy: the pre-flight checks (connected account, budget, creatives) and the deploy button with confirmation.

What do the states and banners say?

The label follows the vocabulary of the whole table: Researching, Needs review, Budget pending, Generating creatives, Ready to launch, Launching, Active, Paused on the platform, Failed, Removed. The banner under the header expands that state with the next step and, when something failed, with the reason and what to do.

A locked step shows why on hover; it opens on its own once the previous one is done. When the state changes while the detail is open, a short notice tells you.

What do I do once it is deployed?

The detail switches to the live panel: spend, clicks, results and cost per result for the period, the structure created on the platform (campaigns, groups, ads and their status) and, on Google, Meta and LinkedIn, the optimization panel with proposals you can apply. From the "···" menu you open the campaign in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager or Campaign Manager, go to Analytics or duplicate the campaign.

Can I do the same from the chat?

Yes. In the IQ chat you can approve keywords and creatives, approve the budget, deploy, pause or resume and ask for results or optimizations. The detail is the full view; the chat is the shortcut.

What about organic and SEO campaigns?

They have their own detail on the same system: the SEO campaign with audit, keywords, questions, plan and implementation, and organic goals with tabs instead of steps.

Steps

  1. Open the campaign. In Campaigns click the name, "Details" or the status label. The label opens the detail on the step that is waiting.
  2. Read the banner. Under the header, the banner says what is happening ("Researching your strategy", "Approve the budget") and how long it usually takes.
  3. Move step by step. Strategy, Budget or Keywords, Creatives, Review or Audience and Launch. A locked step shows its reason.
  4. Confirm what it costs. Generating creatives and deploying ask for confirmation with the amount and your balance. Nothing is charged without it.
  5. Follow the campaign live. Once deployed, the detail shows results, structure and optimization, and the "···" menu opens the platform or Analytics.

Frequently asked questions

Why is a step locked?
Because it depends on the previous one. Hover to see the reason ("Approve the budget to prepare the creatives"). It opens on its own once what is missing is done.
Does the detail refresh by itself?
Yes. While CustomIQ researches, generates or deploys, the detail refreshes and notifies you when the step changes. You can close it; the IQ chat notifies you too.
Can I go back to a finished step?
Yes. Completed steps stay open to check the strategy, keywords or creatives; what is already deployed is shown read-only.
What does "Paused on the platform" mean?
The campaign exists on Google, Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn but is paused there. LinkedIn and TikTok are created paused; you activate them from the detail or on the platform.
Where is the deploy button?
In the Launch step. It first checks the connected account, the budget and the creatives; if something fails it says why, with a link to fix it.
