Connect WordPress

Updated 2026-10-11

In CustomIQ WordPress is connected from the IQ chat, not from Connections: when a plan needs to publish on your website, the agent asks for your WordPress URL and an application password and checks the access. To sync pages and landings with Elementor, also install the CustomIQ helper plugin the chat provides.

What does connecting WordPress allow?

Publishing and updating blog articles and landings directly on your website, with SEO and structured data, from Blogs and Landings.

How do I connect it in the chat?

Ask the IQ chat for a plan that includes blog, SEO or landings. At the integration step the agent asks about WordPress: give the URL, the user and an application password. The chat checks the access and stores the connection. If you would rather not use your site, answer "host it on CustomIQ".

What do I do from the dashboard?

There is no WordPress dialog in Connections: the connection is created in the chat. Once connected, you publish and update from each article's or landing's page.

What is the helper plugin?

A lightweight CustomIQ plugin for your WordPress that lets pages and landings sync with Elementor and keep your site's design. The chat gives you the zip; install it from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

What do I need first?

Administrator access to your WordPress to create the application password and upload the plugin.

Steps

  1. Create an application password. In your WordPress, on your user profile, generate an application password for CustomIQ.
  2. Ask for a plan with a blog or landing. In IQ chat ask for a marketing plan that publishes articles or landings on your website.
  3. Provide the details. When the chat asks about WordPress, give the site URL, the user and the application password.
  4. Install the helper plugin. Upload the plugin zip the chat gives you so pages and landings sync with Elementor.
  5. Check the connection. The chat verifies the access; afterwards articles and landings are published and updated on your site.
