Brand guide settings: guardrails and look for every creative

Updated 2026-10-19

In CustomIQ the brand profile also sets the guardrails and look of every creative: competitors that guide your organic topics, a link policy that blocks or allows websites, your logo on every image and video, Photo or Typographic visual mode, a video look, client logos and reference ads. Edit the brand in Brand Profiles and press Update Profile.

What do these brand settings control?

Beyond name, colours, fonts and tone, the brand profile holds the settings every generator applies: which competitors to learn from, which websites your content may link to, whether your logo is added, how images are made and how videos look.

What do I do from the dashboard?

In Brand Profiles, edit your brand. Under Competitors, add up to five Instagram or TikTok accounts; CustomIQ analyses their recent content to choose topics for your organic posts. In Link policy, choose Allow everything except these or Only allow these, and add domains: links to blocked domains are removed from captions, replies, articles and emails. Turn on Logo on creatives to add your logo to single images, the first slide of carousels and every video scene. In Visual mode choose Photo (AI imagery) or Typographic (text only). In Video look, start from a style such as Elegant or Playful, adjust it and confirm it after checking the live preview. Add client logos for social proof in videos edited as ads, and upload up to five reference ads whose editing style you like. Press Update Profile to save.

Can I change them in the chat?

No. These settings live in the brand profile; the IQ chat applies them whenever it creates content.

What does it cost?

Changing brand settings does not spend credits.

Frequently asked questions

What does Typographic visual mode do?
Every organic image and carousel becomes a text card in your brand fonts and colours, with no photos or people; the monthly plan then schedules only images and carousels.
Will the AI copy my reference ads?
No. It copies their editing style, pace, typography and transitions, never their content.
Can a rule override the video look?
Yes. Your rules in Learnings win over the look, and the form shows which settings a rule fixes.
