0:00Welcome
Welcome to CustomIQ from zero. In the next twenty minutes you'll go from a brand-new account to your first ad campaign, ready to launch. This session is for you if you've just signed up, or you're about to. You don't need any marketing experience, just your business and a few minutes. Here's the plan. A quick tour of the app. Then you'll set up your business, connect your accounts, build your brand guide, create your first Meta campaign, and review what it makes.
0:30How CustomIQ works
First, the big picture. CustomIQ works like a marketing team for your business. It learns your brand, plans, creates your campaigns and content, and measures the results. And you stay in charge. Nothing is published and no budget is spent until you approve it. You work in two places: the IQ chat, where you ask for things in plain words, and the dashboard, where everything it creates is organised.
0:59Credits and ad budget
One more thing before we start: how you pay. Generating things, like research, images or videos, uses credits, and every action shows its cost before it runs. Your ad budget is separate. Meta, Google or TikTok bill it straight to your ad account, and publishing costs nothing. On the Individual plan, launching a paid campaign also takes five percent of its monthly budget, in credits.
The agency plans have no fee.
1:301. The guided tour
Let's start. Step one, the first time you sign in. The first time you sign in, CustomIQ shows you around with a short guided tour. Here's what you'll see, and how to watch it again. It starts with a welcome card. Press Next. This is the IQ chat. Type what you need, a campaign, a landing page or posts, and IQ plans and builds it with you. Up here you switch between the chat and the dashboard.
And here are your credits, notifications and account menu. That's the chat tour. For a brand-new account, the last step offers the setup video and opens the setup assistant. Now switch to the dashboard. The first time you open it, a second tour walks you through the sidebar. Ask IQ takes you back to the chat. Home shows your credits, your connections and what's waiting for approval.
Campaigns lists every paid and organic campaign, with its results. Studio holds the images, videos, landing pages and emails IQ creates. Inbox brings in your leads and messages, and Analytics shows your traffic and funnel. Calendar has every scheduled post and email, and Connections links your accounts. And Help has the guides and videos for every feature.
Now open a feature for the first time, Studio for example. A card appears in the corner with that feature's video tutorial and a link to its guide. It shows only once per feature. Press Watch, and the video plays right here, without leaving the page. Close it when you're done. To see the tour again, open Help. Take the tour runs it again from the start.
This switch turns the video tips on or off. And every video tutorial is listed right below. That's it. The tour, the tips and the videos are free, and nothing in your account changes when you use them.
3:332. Set up your business
Step two, set up your business. A short wizard creates your audience, your brand and your offer in one go, and your welcome credits cover them. You've just created your CustomIQ account. In a few minutes you'll set up your business and get your first marketing plan. This checklist shows what's missing before your first campaign: a brand, an audience segment and a product.
The setup wizard creates all three at once. To open it, click New conversation. The setup wizard opens: audience, brand and offer. On the left you'll see your welcome credits, which already cover your first segment and your first product. Step one: describe your ideal customer in your own words. Who they are, what they want and what problem you solve for them.
You don't need to name it. CustomIQ takes the name from your first sentence. Now pick the language your customers speak. And the country they're in. Click Continue. Step two, your brand. Type its name. If you already have a website, paste the address. If not, choose Create one for me and CustomIQ builds you a landing page. It suggests a subdomain based on your brand name and checks right away that it's free.
It's created once you approve the plan and make your first payment. The logo is optional. Upload yours, or let CustomIQ generate one with your landing page. Your tone of voice is inferred later. Continue. Step three, what you sell. Type the name of your product or service. And describe it briefly. What's included and who it's for. If you like, set how much you plan to spend on ads each month.
The ad platform charges that, not CustomIQ. We'll pick one ninety-nine. All set. Click Create my plan. CustomIQ creates your conversation, your segment, your brand profile and your product, and hands everything to the strategist. A few minutes later, the strategist researches your audience and posts your first strategy right here in the chat. Below it you get suggestions: approve it, cut the budget, or focus on a single channel.
One click sends them to the strategist. To see the whole plan, click Open. Here's your first marketing plan. It lays out the big bet, how the budget is split, the channels it picked and why, and the actual campaigns. Want a different angle, more budget or fewer channels? Click Request changes or tell the chat. You can adjust it as many times as you like.
When you're happy with it, click Approve and execute. It reserves about fifty euro cents per campaign, and creatives are only charged when they're produced. Done. Your business is set up and you have your first plan. In the next tutorial you'll connect your ad accounts and social media.
6:503. Connect your accounts
Step three, connect your accounts. There are three kinds. Social accounts, like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, so CustomIQ can publish your posts. Ad accounts, like Meta Ads and Google Ads, so your campaigns can launch. And Google Analytics, so your visits and conversions show up next to your campaigns. In this tutorial you'll see every connection CustomIQ uses and where to manage it, so your content publishes and your results come in on their own.
In Connections you link the social accounts CustomIQ publishes to, starting with Instagram and its Facebook page. Then TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, each with its own button. Google Analytics brings your website's visits and conversions into Analytics, next to your campaigns. Sign in with Google and pick your property. With the same Google connection, Search Console lets CustomIQ see which searches and pages Google already shows you for, so SEO starts from real data.
Ad accounts and other integrations live in Settings, under Integrations. Here you connect Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads and LinkedIn Ads, the accounts your campaigns are deployed to. On Meta, leads from instant forms also sync into your segments. Google Business Profile links your listing, so you can reply to reviews and publish posts on Google.
If a connection expires, you'll see Reconnect. One click and you're back. And under Custom domains you add your own domain for your landings. Connect everything once, and CustomIQ publishes, measures and learns from all your channels in one place.
8:434. Your brand guide
Step four, your brand guide. Every ad, post and landing CustomIQ makes follows it. Your tone, your colours, what you say and what you avoid. If you have a website, you don't need to write it yourself. CustomIQ reads your site and fills it in. In this tutorial you'll create your brand guide in seconds, straight from your website. Your brands live in Settings, Brand Profiles.
Every piece of content CustomIQ makes follows one of them. Press New Brand Profile. Paste your website address. And press Extract. CustomIQ reads the site and fills in the brand name and tagline. Your tone of voice. Your colours and fonts. And the brand guidelines, how you talk and what you avoid, plus your value propositions. Check each field and adjust anything that isn't quite right.
Then press Create Profile. As this is a demo, we cancel. Once it's saved, edit it to add your logo, your sector, and settings like the brand face and visual mode. Every campaign, post and landing will follow it. Then make it yours. Add your logo and your sector, and check the guidelines. The better your guide, the less you'll edit later.
10:225. Your first Meta campaign
Step five, your first Meta campaign. You ask for it in the chat, in plain words. A good request has four things. Your goal, who it's for, what you're promoting, and your monthly budget. If something's missing, the strategist asks. From there it goes step by step. A summary, a strategy, research into your competitors' ads, the creatives it proposes, and finally the launch.
Two tips. Remove the creatives you don't need before generating, so you only pay for the ones you keep. And remember, Deploy campaigns creates the campaign paused. Your budget only starts spending when you switch it on in Meta Ads Manager. In this tutorial you'll create an ad campaign for Facebook and Instagram. In CustomIQ, paid campaigns are requested in the chat, from the strategist.
Start a new conversation. Say you want a campaign on Meta and add what the agent needs: goal, segment, product and monthly budget. Send it. If something's missing, or it wants to confirm your segment or product, it'll ask. Just answer. Once everything's clear, the agent shows you a summary: brand, segment, product, goal and budget. If something's off, type what to change.
If it looks right, click Continue to generate the strategy. Here's the plan: which campaign it proposes, why, and how much budget it gets. You'll also see the estimated cost in credits. Click Approve and execute. CustomIQ sets up the campaign and researches your competitors' ads. When the research is done, the campaign shows up in the summary, where you can open its details and check the strategy before moving on.
Before generating anything, check what's going to be produced. Click Creatives on the campaign. These are the ads the research proposes: images and videos, each with its copy and the idea behind it. Nothing has been generated yet. Every creative costs credits, and you don't need all of them to start. Remove the ones you don't want. We'll keep just one video and one image.
If a format you want is missing, just ask for it. Here there's no image, so we ask the agent to add one. It's only written into the proposal for now, not generated. Now only two creatives are active. The ones you removed won't be generated, so you won't pay for them. You can restore any of them later. When you're happy with the selection, click Done.
Now click Approve and generate assets. The agent generates only the two creatives you kept. That uses credits, but nothing is published on Meta yet. These are your creatives. Review them here or on the Campaigns page, and regenerate any you don't like. And this is the last step. Deploy campaigns creates the campaign in your Meta ad account, paused.
It only spends once you switch it on in Ads Manager. Done. Your campaign is waiting in Campaigns, where you can deploy it and track its results. Meta bills your ad spend directly.
14:076. Review and approve
Step six, review and approve. Every piece waits for you. Everything CustomIQ creates waits for your go-ahead before it's published. Let's see where you review it and how you approve it. Each request lives in its own conversation in the sidebar. The pieces you generate appear right there, in the chat. Let's open the one where we generated an ad image.
This is the generated assets card. At the top you can see how many are ready out of the total the plan asked for. Each piece has a thumbnail with its type and status. Click any of them to view, approve, regenerate or edit it. Let's open an image. Here you see it full size, with its title and type. Check that it represents your brand and your offer well.
If you're not happy with it, Regenerate asks for a new version. Keep in mind that generating again uses credits. Reject discards it. Nothing you reject gets published. And when you're happy with it, click Approve. When you approve a post, CustomIQ schedules it in an open slot on your calendar and publishes it through your connected account. That's why we won't approve it here.
Close the window to move on to the rest. You'll also find every piece in the dashboard. This link takes you to its gallery. It's that simple: review each piece, regenerate or reject what doesn't fit and approve the rest. Nothing goes out without your permission.
15:43Recap
Let's recap. You took the tour, set up your business, connected your accounts, built your brand guide, created your first campaign and reviewed its creatives.
15:54Questions
Now, the questions we hear most often. Does CustomIQ charge my ad spend? No. Meta, Google or TikTok bill your ad budget directly. CustomIQ uses credits for what it creates. Can anything go live without me? No. Posts, ads and emails wait for your approval, and campaigns are created paused, so they only spend when you switch them on. I don't have a website.
Can I still start? Yes. In the setup wizard choose Create one for me, and CustomIQ builds you a landing page. What if I don't like the plan? Press Request changes, or tell the chat what to change, as many times as you like. A connection stopped working. Open Connections and press Reconnect. One click and you're back.
16:47Next steps
Where to go next. Every feature has a step-by-step guide and a video in Help. And when in doubt, just ask the IQ chat. Thanks for watching. Now it's your turn. Open CustomIQ and launch your first campaign.
